PROCESS


Complimentary Consultation

At Peacock Invites, the invitation design process begins with a complimentary consultation. A consultation can be done in-person, over the phone, by email, or via Skype. Here we will learn more about you and your wedding!

We recommend viewing our Invitation Collections to see our existing designs. From there we can discuss the collection you’re most interested in, and options for customization to incorporate your ideas and style. This would also be an opportunity to discuss and share any themes, color palettes, or source of inspiration you may have for your upcoming nuptials.

Price Estimate & Contract

After the consultation, we will provide you with a price estimate as well as a contract. Designing your invitation suite will begin once we receive the signed contract, a 50% deposit, and your text. We accept cash, check/cheque, e-transfer or credit card.

Design Process & Timeline

Because we offer three different collection lines, our production schedule varies.

With our Luxe Boxed-Fabric Collection, the intricacy and craftsmanship of these invitation suites is more significant, involved and labor intensive than the other two collection lines. With our multi-step process in place, we must source the finest of fabrics, brooches, and other embellishments; from there, our artisans will manufacture each of the pieces by hand. With each of our fabric-boxes completely hand-made using only the finest of materials, we will require about 1-2 months from the initial order placement to completion.

With our Elle Paper-Pocket Collection, the pocket-folds are made from 100% cotton making it a sustainable, renewable, recyclable, and earth friendly resource. Our artisans manufacture the paper by hand, and produce a range of attractive colors, textures and finishes. With the hand-made nature and craftsmanship of these pocket-folds, we will require about 1-2 months from the initial order placement to completion.

With our Classic Laser-Cut Collection, the detail and delicacy of these laser-cut pockets and cards is one to appreciate. With a variety of styles, sizes, colors, and laser-cut designs our selection and range of products is endless. With this invitation collection, we will require about 2-4 weeks from the initial order placement to completion.

We recommend giving your invitations out eight weeks before your wedding. This allows your guests ample time for clearing out their schedule and making arrangements to attend your wedding. With that in mind, please ensure you place your invitation order accordingly, considering the production times noted above. Rush production is available at an additional cost.

Approval & Production Process

Before production and printing begins on your Luxe Boxed-Fabric Invitation Suite, you will be emailed a swatch sample of the fabric and an electronic proof of your invitation and inserts to approve. We request you to verify that the fabric material, design and color is accurate (there may be variation in color, as not all screens and monitors are color calibrated equally). We also request you to review your invitation and inserts for grammar, spelling, punctuation and accuracy of information. Upon your approval, the files will be sent and printing and production will begin. The remaining balance will be due at this time.

We request you to verify that the laser-cut invitation style and color is accurate (there may be variation in color, as not all screens and monitors are color calibrated equally). We also request you to review your invitation and inserts for grammar, spelling, punctuation and accuracy of information. Upon your approval, the files will be sent and printing and production will begin. The remaining balance will be due at this time.

Delivery & Shipping

We offer various options for delivery. You may pick up your order at our Surrey or Bellingham location or we can ship it to you anywhere in the world via USPS, UPS, FedEx or other.
